My latest update about the FX6300 stable BCLK OC.
Remember if you have an Gigabyte 990XA-UD3 rev3.0 motherboard, you need to flash the latest Beta bios via Qflash (do not use
@bios).
The latest beta bios will give you the APM option in the bios to disable (so you now you can finally disable HPC mode in the bios and still prevent your clock speed to throttle back to the 7x multiplier.)
- In the bios disable Core Performance Boost, Cool & Quiet, C1E Support, SVM, Core C6 state, HPC mode, and APM (available in betabios) - Keep CPU Core Control on Auto and CPU unlock on Enable.
- I prefer to OC using BCLK but this will affect the RAM also (I have G.Skill Extreme3 Ripjaws X DDR3 2 x 4 Go 1866 MHz CAS 9)
- This ripjaws are recognized by my bios as 2x4gb 1600 CAS 11 So I have to configurate them manually.
After disbeling al the features I mentioned above I start in the frequency settings to configurate a 4.3ghz stable overclock with better RAM speeds and Vcore @ 1.37V :
- the BCLK, I change this from 200mhz to 233mhz, (watch out if the RAM multiplier is already @ 9.33mhz your 1866 mhz will now be @ 2174 mhz so clock the ram multiplier back to 8.00 and your clock speed will be @ 1864mhz )
- change your Clock ratio multiplier to 18.5 and your frequency will now show 4310mhz.
- Now we go to memory settings (in the bios of my MB I have to set this to expert mode) I go to channel A and I will set the timings to 9 - 10 - 9 - 28 and tRC@45 and tCMD@2, than I repeat this for channel B.
- In voltage settings I set the Vcore @ +0.075V, this represents an voltage of 1.379 if idle. the NB frequency voltage is set from 1.100V to 1.230V and the Loadline calibration will be set to medium. The memory voltage is set from auto to 1.510V.
For me it was also possible to have an stable OC @ 4.43 GHZ (233*19) with Vcore + 0.100 = (1.404V) and loadline calibration @ High
With an coolmaster hyper 212 EVO these settings are very save, max heat is 60 degrees C after 10min OCCT stress test (Large data package) @ 4.43 GHZ
Good luck all.
