AMD FX-6300 or Intel Core i3 4150

Hi I am building a pc and as the description says i need to know which one to get this is what the other parts will be
EVGA GTX 750ti SC
8gb 1600 mhz corsair vengence RAM (4x2)
FSP Aurum S 500W 80+ Gold
I will be using this for gaming and i can't afford any cpu's that cost more than that i will also need a motherboard that is less than 110 US Dollars as where i live getting things from amazon is not possible and i will have to look for it in are local shops, and thank you in advance

get the i3 coz it performs mostly the same as fx 6300 in gaming and it has a way better upgrade path

Go with Intel, better upgrade path. FX's are on a dead socket.

If you don't want to overclock then go for the i3, but if you're interested in overclocking then I'd go for the 6300.

The FX6300 is better overall but the i3 is better per core per http://anandtech.com/bench/product/699?vs=1367. Most games only use 2 to 4 cores, so the i3 would be of slight preference.

dont buy core i3 , ofcourse intel has better core performance , but some new games like dragon age wont run on dual core cpus and in future number of these games will increase .. your system with this gpu wont see any bottlenecking with amd cpu !

What the point of having 6 slow cores on fx? Like have been said, i3 have 2 cores + hyperthreading and gaming wise, Intel is the way to go.

AM3+ is dead socket.
FX-6300 has same performance as i3 and FX can be better with overclock, altho you would need better PSU, aftermarket cooler and better motherboard. If you want to overclock that FX you will spend much more money and you can even buy some i5 for that.
i3 has better upgrade path, you can get cheaper mobo, it uses less power.

This intel will be dead long before AMD is. Afterwards he can save some money and OC the socks out of it with that psu and gpu combo when he buys some nice cooler... Even can upgrade gpu to 960(Ti) when he will be able to and have no problem.
