The reason for my questions is to make sure I'm answering the right question.
For gaming alone, with a small number of threads, the i5 4460 is certainly the best choice. For your graphics work, I think you would be better served with a FX 8320 or 8320E, which will out perform the i5 (in other than gaming).
If you are using this to make money, you need to look at how long it will take you to earn any extra you spend back (and it's usually a short time). Instead of the i5 4460, a Xeon 1231v3 based system would be $100 more ant a lot better.
If you go with the FX 6300 or FX 8320, you will need to overclock. It's 'cheap' and will improve your productivity significantly enough. This will mean that you need to have a good aftermarket CPU cooler too.
What GPU are you getting with the FX 6300, and what motherboard?
While you are looking to spend as little as possible, you need to b e sure you are not too short-sighted and limit your future.
