hi am was wanting some help with overclocking my new fx 6300.

my system is as follows

amd fx6300

asus sabertooth 990fx r2.0

coolermaster hyper 212evo with artic f12 push/pull fans

8gb kingston hyperx blu

saphire radeon 7770 ghz edition (not vapor-x its the shortest of the 3 with this name)

antec 620w hcgamer series

ezecool k-720b case

i was hoping to get to around 4.5ghz but will see what can be done . i have overclocked before but not using the UEFI bios or to the level i want to here (in the past its only been as far as stock voltages would go) . i have tried so far but cant figure out how to stop the voltage bumping up when i start prime95 my last attempt the voltage was set at 1.4 then jumped to 1.47 and temps got very high very fast.

i am mostly wanting to know how to disable some of the options that cause auto voltage changes and how to oc' my cpu only.

any help is appreciated

The last FX-6300 I owned, I simply increased the unlocked clock multiplier until it was unstable with a 10-run pass of Intel Burn Test. Then I had the option of increasing the voltage a bit, but decided against it. How high can you get on just the multi alone?

Im currently on 19.5 on stock volts its 1.25v and running max of 45°c after 1 hour of prime95

I've been to 20.5 on auto volt and didn't test longer than 10min as had other stuff to do so was just checking stability it peaked at 1.33 volts and 40 something degrees
