Is the AMD FX-6300 3.5 GHz 6 core processor good for gaming and recording/streaming gameplay?

For that price it is the best option available .

Match it to a motherboard with a 970 or 990 chipset . Older boards with the 760g chipset are not ideal

Usually the Asrock 970 Extreme3 R2.0 is the value option

I can max out any game I play up until I hit a GPU bottleneck. This includes Battlefield Hardline, Battlefield 3, Payday 2, etc. My FX-6300 is running stock clocks on a M5A97 R2.0.
