Amd fx 6300 stock cooler on fx 8350

Hi!
I switched from an amd fx6300 to a fx 8350 but for reasons i had to keep the old fx6300 stock cooler. Now the cpu temps have gone crazy, up to 77 degres while idle. I have checked temps in bios, cpu temp and speedfan. No oc has been done. Is the 6300 stock cooler to bad to cool the 8350?

The 6300 stock fan is not sufficient to cool the 8350.

6300 is a 95w CPU , the 8350 is a 125w CPU.

The bundled FX-8350 cooler (before the Wraith) wasn't even sufficient to cool those chips.

A $30-$50 air cooler tower will do the job quite well, though. Mine ran a 212 Evo, and something like a Cryorig is even better.
