AMD FX-6300 Temperature

Hi, I was wondering if my temps for my FX-6300 are excellent despite being overclocked at 4.5GHz;1.55V and is it safe if my highest temperature is 58C (all 120mm fans are off except for the radiator fans in which they are spinning in the lowest setting), while the lowest temp would be at 12C?

Any answers will help me! Thanks!

That would be the safe temp for an FX 6300. Overclocking does not change the safe temp.

Frosty. You could probably push it more, but with how high your voltage is it's not really recommended. 49C is somewhere around it, but not totally accurate. The higher the temp, the more accurate it tends to be. Except for OpenHardwareMonitor. That just messes everything up.

The most accurate under high load is AMD Overdrive.

I'd say you're fine and should be able to keep it like that. You seem to have no issues. Chips perform differently.

Like with my chip. The overclock with the voltage that I have is positively insane for the chip. Sometimes you get lucky, sometimes you don't.

You're safe!

That does not sound like the correct temperature. AMD Overdrive is going to be the most accurate for your chip, or I find myself trusting MSI Afterburner or CoreTemp. Both are reliable and should give you around the correct temps.

12C is way too low for a CPU. Room temperature is about 21C. Your CPU cannot be lower than room temperature.

Moving on. 65C is considered the ideal temp for the chip, while 70C wouldn't be bad either, but it might shorten it's life span.

It's not a half bad overclock, but you could get more out of it if you didn't just up the multiplier and voltage, which is what I assume you did.

I have an FX 8320 running 1.49V and 4.7GHz. I get temps of around 52C to 60C with my water cooler while gaming, and 40 - 30C on idle.

For now, the lowest was at 32C while at idle, as it tends to stay around 45C with all the fans spinning at max rpm.
Now, would that be a safe temperature for an overlocked FX-6300?
Inside the case, it is very cold, except for the heatsinks obviously....

Thanks so much for the help! As for now, winter is coming so, no temp issues for this PC! I'm not sure if my CPU is using 1.3125V (AMD Overdrive) or 1.552V (CPU-Z) but which is the most accurate program for the voltage of the processor?

They're both the same. AMD Overdrive is showing what I'm pretty sure it's drawing at the moment in idle, while CPU-Z is showing the max voltage.
