Amd fx 6300 turbo boost info

hello i have just received my fx 6300 today the cpu is running at 3.5 normal clock speed but and the turbo boost is enabled but will not go any higher than 3.8ghz

specs:

asus m5a97 le r2.0
amd fx 6300
crucial 1866 tactical tracer
nvidia geforce 9500 gt (upgrading soon)
400 watt psu (also upgrading soon)

any help would be great thanks

A variety of factors can play into this. Not enough heat dissipation for one. Possible wattage limitations (guessing with this one). Maybe the system does need all 4.1 GHz either.

i have the same cpu...how do i enable turbo boost so it can go to 4.1? thanks

go into you bios and enable adm turbo boost or something like that...
try running prime95 and see if the cpu goes to 4.1
