AMD FX 6300 upgrade Intel i5 7600? When it comes out? Will this resolve most bottlenecks that the FX 6300 have?

I am upgrading my AMD FX 6300 to Intel i5 7600 once it comes out?
Will that be a good upgrade?

I already have a Evga 600 Watts PSU (BRONZE 80 PLUS)

I know i have a Desktop Windows 10 - 6950X CPU Computer, but that will be mostly use for
many virtual machines.

well...you will be building mostly a whole new system.
Either wait for Ryzen (and then the aftermath of the initial release) or go Intel.

Either way, you will be building a better system than what you have now.

AMD CPU future cpu does not seem to complete with Intel 7th Generation Perfromance / Power Comsuming Money saving (Few bucks matter) so i going now move to Intel i5 or Intel i7 once it release
Force me to use Windows 10 Education 64-Bit

Not going with AMD CPU anymore - they always seem ridiculously behind on performance and features that help improve performance.

So you're trying to tell is that if amd came out with a cpu in the future, that would be twice as fast as anything intel offers, you would NOT buy it? Right...

Ryzen hasnt been released nor have we seen any official reviews, so unless you have a crystal ball, we know if its gonna be behind or ahead of intel.

We still don't know when Ryzen will hit the shops and based on how sparse the information was in the latest announcement and the showpiece CPU's final clock speed had still not be determined it doesn't look like any time soon. My guess is end of Q1 to early Q2 next year.

Not getting the performance i paid for AMD CPU`s.

So i fully switching to Intel...

I know what is Intel exactly doing to AMD . Intel is stepping back on the CPUs a little by releasing Refreshes to allow AMD to nudge up their business on CPU to prevent AMD from going out of business. If AMD would of gone out of business. then Intel will be forced to split their business.
AMD CPU not going even beat Intel CPU. in same generations..

So i am going to Intel CPU.

@szzling
wat? amd said 3.4 base clock
wat? amd said Q1

@valeman2012
then i guess you know more than us.

intel stepping back for amd? lol.
couldn't be farther from the truth. look at the past releases.
they cant gain anything past +10%, unless they throw some serious money at tech/design.
why did intel change the nm? why arent they going ahead and do a die shrink that we were supposed to see? they cant, soi they stayed on tock instead of doing a tick.

everything i've seen so far, shows at similar clocks, the ryzen 8/16 cpu is equal/beat to 6900.
and it will be faster when it gets a little more refined over the next few months, so i dont see any real gain for intel when they release 7000 series.

And it took AMD 1 generation ahead before beating Intel CPU 6th Genaration ?
I think Performance Upgrade is the best choice and may go for Intel i5 7600 or 7600K

I wish you could quote when using a mobile browser.
@fry178 From memory that was the clock speed they used for the demo but the final clock speed of the production chip was still undetermined. As for timeline yeah they say Q1 launch but we have been here before, it could (and most likely will) be many weeks after the theoretical launch that we actually see any stock in the shops and people seem to be acting like they its guaranteed we will see them Jan-Feb which is not what AMD said.

Yes i am asking if is good to have some CPU that like 5 years ago, to be upgraded to have the performance you paid for and power saving to save few bucks.

Having deep discussion before having absolute solution to be selected.

7600 or 7600K is coming near, so i will wait until it comes out and buy that .

I think its a good idea to upgrade from something that lLIKE 5 years ago and botterneck almost everything

That`s all for now.
