Whats the safe zone for temperatures for the FX 6300? Safe zone meaning the highest temp it can go while considered "safe." I'm worried because my cores run at 66 C and CPU Socket run at 66 C while playing Counter Strike Global Offense. If you guys could say the safe zone for each that'd be great :) I have stock cooler at stock speed if that matters :)

Very helpful article. I'm currently using HWmonitor.

If I get AMD overdrive will the 2 interfere? Should I uninstall one before I get the other?

Awesome! I am at a solid 16 C Thermal Margin when gaming. Is this good and safe?

Also I noticed that while I'm using the stock cooler and I'm running at stock speed (3.5 GHz) in AMD Over Drive the frequency is 4116 which is technically 4.1 GHz. I know that in my BIOS settings the turbo setting or whatever it's called for my CPU that speeds it up is on. So my question is. Once I disable that turbo setting and overclock my CPU to 4.1 GHz by increasing the multiplier will my temperatures stay the same? They should right?

Awesome!! So I can expect that once I take off the turbo boost and increase my multiplier to 4.1 GHz I stay with the same temps! This means I will drop quite a few Celsius when I install my Hyper 212 Evo! Thanks a lot man

That's extremely hot IMO...I heard your temps should NEVER exceed 65c on the fx chips. I have an fx 6300 overclocked to 4.2 ghz and my temps never once exceeded 52c during gaming. at the stock frequency I never go over 45c. Keep in mind CS:GO wont nearly touch your CPUS potential and if you ever ran a program that maxes out all cores, im 100% sure its going to hit 80+. I use AMD overdrive and HWmontior to monitor my temps as well...Whens the last time you cleaned your cpu heatsink? Also note im using the stock CPU cooler, although i have 5 120mm case fans, 2 intake and 3 exhaust, maybe thats why it runs so much cooler?
