Amd FX-6300 Worrying Temps

Hi i just built my pc about two days ago i have a AMD FX-6300 and a GTX 760. My cpu temp on idle is about 25-30 Celsius. When i play battlefield 4 on ultra settiung my CPU temp went up to 70 degrees. I am really worried can someone please help me out.Thank you.

70 degrees is perfect, especially for AMD. Better than normal for sure!

Please post your specs. Especially your cpu cooler. Is that on the socket or the core. 61.1 is max core temp. Socket should be kept no higher than the low 70's Celsius.

I have the stock AMD cooler. The temp is the CPU not the socket.
MOBO: Gigabyte GA-970A UD3P
GPU:GTX 760
RAM: 6gb DDR3
CASE: BItfenix Comrade
CPU: AMD FX-6300 3.5 ghz

I got my Fx 6300 a week ago and I oc it to 4.0 Ghz with stock cooler,was playing BF3 for like 2h max temp was 57 on cpu and around 50 on socket.Btw Fx 6300 gets hotter on stock.on stock his voltage wen under heavy load 1.475 that is allot for stock.My OC to 4.0 Ghz is at 1.25 v and runs cooler and better.So if u have good mobo just OC it, it is rly easy.u can set all votages on auto and offset mode manual set Ht and NB to default and RAM and bump ratio to 20 and there u have it nice littel OC and u will see performance gain.Best of luck.

You picked a best answer too early. If your core temps are 70 Celsius they over 8 degrees Too high. If it is socket Temps they are at their limit. So your temps may be a bit high. Download Hardware monitor and check your Package temps.

You should replace your stock cooler with a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo. But you can befor that check your temps . What is your core an what is your socket temp on load. Also you should make sure your Tim or thermal paste was applied correctly and reseat your cpu cooler.

When doing stress tests 70 is always a good peak to have, and his is spot on.

he was playing BF4. Core max temp is 61.1 Degrees Celsius as per Amd global support. that is for 125 watt cpu. 70 for 95 watt cpu's. So
he is depending on whether it is core or socket higher than normal. He still needs to address those temps.
