According to the board's specs, dual cards will operate at x16, x16. Unlike Intel processors, the PCIe lanes are controlled by the chip set, not the CPU.

Well looking at like intel I-7 5820k it says supports only 20 supports PCI-e
lanes /5930k 40 lanes-so why it says that for intel but not for AMD.

Next build would be intel-don't know either 5820k/5930k/just trying to compar
to AMD.
My motherboard very rare Sabertooth 990FX R2-Gen-3 and trying to figure out how
many lanes AMDFX CPU's/motherboard PCI-e's lanes it supports-is AMD have more lanes
then intel.......

Because AMD FX CPU's don't have the PCIe lanes in the CPU, but the motherboard instead. 990FX chipset is the best motherboard the FX CPU with 40 lanes.

All the specs in Asus/Newegg never state the AMD motherboards how many PCI-e
it has only the intel CPU's-seems like a good as a CPU-5820k it is it only supports
20 lanes according to Neweggs specs.
Just trying to see it's worth going to intel 5820k or 5930k.......

To an Intel 5820k from an AMD FX, is that a serious question? Yes, much higher IPC on the Intel, much better RAM, much better overall performance across the board. What a comparison... Wow.

I'm just asking-trying to compare so Intel 5820k on a sabertooth X-99
motherboard with 16gb DDR-4 20-lnes PCI-e would blow away FX6350 8gb ddr-3 with 40 lanes.
Vid cards would be MSI-780-ti SLI.
Talking all this PCI-e lanes don't want to have botteknecks.......
