Hey everyone, Right now i have i am looking to upgrade my Gpu to Nvidia 750 from a ATI R270x... Will this cause any problems with this CPU? I ask because i know the 8120 is rather old.

Also, right now all i am playing is Counter Strike. So i am not playing any mmo's at the moment.

your r9 270x is much stronger than the gtx 750 that would be a downgrade. The 8120 is clocked rather low, do you think you could get it to 4ghz? It consumes quite a bit of power, and bulldozer wasn't a success, but piledriver is only like 15% better per clock, I don't think that would be worth it buying a whole new cpu.

what fps do you currently get and what do you want to get in terms of performance? Going to a locked i5 4460 or even i3 4160 and h97 motherboard would be a great combo

I am mostly wanting to up the settings because when i play at higher settings i lose a bit of the frames... Right now i run with all medium settings and i would like to run on high... but i guess its not really needed. My Frames usually run at about 45 to 55fps and at some points 60 and thats at the settings i have right now. But when i run on full high its drops to like 25 to 35.

So if i was to upgrade i guess GTX 770 or R9 280x would be the upgrades i am guessing but then there would be a bottle neck issues right?

wow, you're being badly bottlenecked by your CPU. A better gpu isn't going to help much, and that money could be much better spent on an intel cpu.

this is a STOCK speed cheap pentium g3258 and r9 270 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1inUAqeVXXg average ~100fps

even with a stock pentium g3258 and weaker gtx 750ti he did better https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EH3ynoIY5Ak

May I make the point that your CPU in no way is bottlenecking anything. A G3258 IS A MASSIVE DOWNGRADE! It's a dual core CPU. Two freaking cores! My 8350 handles my 770 no problem so a damn 270x is A-okay with a 8120. What are your temperature readings for your processor? It has to be throttling if you can't max counter strike which is a DX 9 game.

here's a vid of somebody playing counter strike with an fx 8120 at 4ghz and hd 6950 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uFwZXhWwUrA

~35fps during actual gameplay where the pentium and 750ti was getting much more fps on 1080p and the 8120 was playing on 1600x900

8120 4.4ghz and gtx 670 on 1080p high, I'm assuming, with 4x msaa https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ynRUl3FYLI about ~80 average fps

I'm thinking the 8120 is throttling too, the r9 270x is a decent gpu. Do you have a decent motherboard and psu? At 4.4ghz it's going to consume quite a bit of power but it would help you. Try 4ghz first though.
