Amd fx 8320 black edition running hot

I have a fx 8320 black amd cpu with a radeon r9270x dual x gpu.it seems to be running hot, without boost it seems ok( runs at 3.5 ghz,1.3 volts to the chip and gaming load is 50ish celcius) but when i run turbo boost ( 4 ghz and voltage is at 1.375)in game it goes to 65 celcius.
does this seem normal? Isnt that hot for AMD chips?i dont have a liquid cooler either, so that might have sumtin to do with it, but im not even trying to overclock it, is it possible their boost has the voltages go too high? And are those voltages too high for amd? I know intel max voltage should be set at no more than 1.3.
Any ideas?

Stock cooler? Looks like you're already undervolting a small bit @ stock speeds - I think it's normally 1.3.

A better air cooler will help immensely - 65 is quite hot for a FX.

get the amd overdrive and use it to check the thermal margin the do the math ?? then see where you stand

Replacing the cooler will do wonders compared to the AMD stock one. Those temps appear to be high by 15-20C unless the ambient room temp is 80+ degrees F. May also check the thermal paste application.

To add i have a hyper 212 evo as a cooler, i installed the tim properly...i know i shouldnt be getting these temps, maybe the video card is too mich for that chip?? Its demanding too much of the chip?

No. I've got a GTX 970 that dumps hot air into the case and won't run that hot. Perhaps poor case ventilation or improper thermal paste application? You really only need a small line or a pea-sized dot of thermal paste - it will spread out as you anchor down the cooler. Slathering it on there just makes for poor heat transfer.

I can run my FX-8320 @ 4.6 GHz, flat out, 100% CPU usage, and not see above 60C with my 212 Evo. My case has 2 intake fans in the front, then 2 lower CFM exhaust fans on the top and one high CFM in the back.
