AMD FX 8320 CPU Cooler

So I am planning on getting a CPU cooler for my AMD FX 8320.

I was wondering if I should go for closed lube or just regular radiator and fan.

Please give me some suggestions as well.

Are you planning to overclock the hell out of it? If so, look to a closed loop that can handle the increased load.

Stock or near stock you can stick to air cooling, plenty of good ones out there that can handle the load.

The FX series runs very hot and the FX9590, an overclocked FX8350, requires pretty much an equivalent of a H80 cooler in order to cool properly.

If you want to overclock, as said, get a closed loop cooler like the Corsair H80i.

Price is different, you can get some nice OC coolers including silent ones for $25-30 like CM Hyper 212 and GeminII

Just for reference if you plan to overclock to certain levels the FX series needs proper cooling. The FX 9590 is a 8350 OCed.

if you want to run less heat and same power overclocking look at the fx 8320e version and run Hyper 212 which will get you to about 4.6-4.7 with little issues. cheapest option for same performance
