AMD FX-8320 is good for gaming?

Anyone heard that there was a problem with the FX-8320? I'm worried about his price 50$ lower then the 8350

None at all, it's a very capable processor and you can match the 8350 via overclocking without much hassle.

It does fine. It is cheaper than the 8350 because it is slower but can be brought up to the same level with overclock.

Depends on the game. I would only get it if you are planning to overclock it to 8350 speeds.

Overclocking results on the 8320 vs 8350 have generally shown that the 8350 has more headroom and that the 8320 so if you are looking for 4.5 Ghz+ I would suggest spending the extra. There is always the exception but I would hate for you to get a chip that can't push much more than 4.2 on inexpensive cooling.

Generally, it's a pretty good value for most games. If you are heavy into playing Skyrim, Blizzard games, or Planetside 2, I would suggest going Intel though.

I have mine overclocked to 4ghz with just a multiplier increase, this making it a 8350. I haven't noticed any issues with it. Rips through my 3d fractal rendering pretty fast and I'm happy with it.

for BF3, on ultra with a 7870 video card, I get about 50% with my GPU maxxed at 100% usage and my cpu about 60% maxed, so lots of headroom there before the game would be maxed out.

Paired with 16GB of 1866 ram and an SSD for a boot drive, it's pretty damn quick.

According to HWbot, FX 8320 and FX 8350 average overclock is pretty much even. Less than 100mhz difference.
