How far can I overclock my Cpu on a gigabyte 970a-ds3p Motherboard and a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan

CPU, RAM, Motherboard.... all of these items are not created equally.. the question isn't how far can you push it.... but instead how far can YOU push it. There is no guarantee you will be able to reach the same overclock as anyone else and there's no guarantee any of your components will like being overclocked. You're going to need to experiment for yourself to get the answer. However with that being said... the avg overclock is about 500mhz over base clock.

Highest I've seen on air cooling is 4.6 GHz. More realistic is around 4.3 GHz with the EVO 212. It also depends on your motherboard and airflow in your case.
