Hi all

I just read some different reviews of my CPU, and it seems like its using ALOT less than the reviews show according to HWMonitor.

The reviews says that in idle mode it should use around 100W, and mine i jumping from 39-43W.
Entering af game, and this does NOT change hell of a lot.. According to them it should go to 200W and it does not get anywhere near that!

Has my CPU a defect, or is it HWMonitor misreading?

First, don't confuse SYSTEM POWER with just the CPU POWER.

You can't get a "defect" which reduces power. Defects on a CPU would just prevent the system starting or cause a crash after start.

Power draw for any SIMILAR system should be within a few percent.

*And yes, my guess would be the monitoring software or how it's been interpreted.

**The only accurate way to measure power draw is to use a Watt meter put in-between the wall and the PC to measure the total system power draw.
