I was wondering whether the stock CPU cooler from AMD would be sufficient to cool the AMD FX-8350 or does it not get very hot as i plan to do a bunch of stress tests when i get it and games like crysis 2 then 3 and battlefield 3. Or is it necessary to buy a third party cooler which i am heading towards.

It gets hot, not hot enough to kill the chip but hot. I would recommend replacing that, ESPECIALLY if you wanna overclock, if you overclock and keep that cooler on that will probably harm the chip. I recommend anything from Cooler Master's CPU cooler line for air cooling, and anything from the Hydro Series from Corsair for water cooling.

What would you suggest?
