Hi, I've recently just installed the FX 8350 up from a FX 4130 and noticed that it would constantly throttle itself while playing games. However, using Core Temp, it was only showing 40's to 50's for the cores, which baffled me as to why it would be throttling itself. Then I downloaded HWiNFO and noticed during a prime 95 test, each time the cpu socket temp hit 61, it throttled itself. So my question is, how would I be able to keep these socket temps under control?
Edit: Forgot to mention that these are at stock 4.0 speeds.
My current setup:
Cooler: Cooler Master Seidon 120
CPU: FX 8350
MOBO: m5a97 le r2.0
GPU: Sapphire R9 280x
Thermal Compound: Noctua NT-H1
