AMD fx-8350 vs i5 3570 with 7850 2GB OC

I am planning on upgrading my cpu. right now i have an i3 2100 and it bottlenecks the gpu in games like bf3 64players and crysis 3.
The differece in price is about 30$(8350 is cheaper)
I am affraid of overclocking the cpu so i don't care about overclocking gains. However i know how to overclock the gpu.
Also can you tell me a good but cheap motherboard for both cpus
PS: I already have a gibabyte h61m-ds2 (1155 socket)

If you are not planning to overclock the CPU, get the i5; the FX-8350 will only get close to it when overclocked. The $30 price difference will thus be eaten by the aftermarket cooler you'll need. I use and recommend the Xigmatek Gaia over the more often parroted but inferior Hyper212 EVO:

Unlike the Hyper212 EVO (ignore the URL; it IS the EVO they tested), the Gaia never throttled, although it wasn't always the coolest depending on the fan used. Both got awards, but if you factor in the price, the Gaia wins hands down. I think it might be only $22 at Newegg now.
Furthermore, if you drop the i5 into your current mobo, you won't need another Windows license.

I think get a BIOS flash , rather than a CPU change. And for CPU , get an i5-3470. Its the best choice and is cheaper. Plus will not give that "why not a 3570K + z77 mono" comments. The FX8350 can beat the 3570K if its on 5GHz. It can fight the 3450 , but the cost difference ( New mobo = 50 + CPU = 200 + OS due to chipset change = 90 ) compared

Get the 3570K. Newegg has it for $219, 3470 for $199. 3570 also has somewhat better on- board graphics. You state you will not overclock, but you may just get the urge and you will be good to go.

I would have to agree wih the others my friend, a good long term investement would be an i5 for yourself. I feel AMD upgrades would just need to be upgraded allot quicker.

3570K, just checked newegg, 2500k discontinued. Intel web site, discontinuing. Checked Amazon, 2500K there for $269.00. Cheaper to buy 3570K at 219.00

hello, at least for battlefield 3, you will not feel the difference, but im sure you play other games too, so i recommend the I5 (since i just read you already have a motherboard XD), you dont need to overclock it
