AMD FX-8350 vs Intel Core i5-3550

Hi,my current pc specs are intel celeron G540(2,5GHZ),nvdia gtx 650(1GB),Kingston HyperX Fury 8GB DDR3(1866MHz)
I want to upgrade my cpu,i am between AMD FX-8350 and Intel Core i5-3550(my motherboard is compatible up to 3d generation,and its the best i can buy with my budget).Also buying the amd and a new motherboard (for example Gigabyte F2A78M-DS2,which can support 2 gpus for further upgrades in the future) is cheaper than buying the intel cpu.
At this time i need the cpu upgrade for gaming,but in the near future i am going to need it for using programs related to 3D modeling and animation.
I saw some comparisons between these cpus,i think they are pretty much equal but i want some suggestions from the experts..

Definitely get the 3550 if you want the best performance.

get the 3550 as the AM3+ socket is way out-dated and eventually you can upgrade to a 3770K which is way more powerful that the 8350. the 8350 is based on vishera which hasn't been updated since 2012 so its just going to die or get replaced eventually
