AMD FX-8370 high temps after switching motherboard

Hello!

So about a week ago (insert meme here :lol my motherboard was changed from ASUS m5a97 R2.0 to MSI 970 gaming, because it was causing crashing and bsod. After installing the Silverstone Argon SST-AR01 CPU cooler and the new motherboard to the case, I was able to boot to windows (no fresh install) and delete all old drivers and install new ones. I also updated BIOS.

Everything worked well, except I started noticing some fps drops every 5-10 mins after about 30 mins of gameplay. I started HWmonitor and kept track on CPU and Motherboard temps. Idle CPU temps were about 30°C and Motherboard TMPIN3 was around 60-70°C. Under load the CPU was 70-75°C and made the CPU to thermal throttle. The TMPIN3 was about 90°C.

I took the computer apart and changed thermal paste, but it didn't help. Even when the fans are set 100% from the BIOS the temperatures are around 68°C on CPU and 80°C on Motherboard.
These temps were much lower on the previous board, although it was broken.... They were around 25°C idle and 50°C under load on the CPU.

I haven't overclocked anything. I have thought about it, but with these temps i think that is not possible...

Anyone got any suggestions? Can a fresh install of windows help? Is there a problem on my CPU or Motherboard? I can provide more detailed information if needed.

Possibly the voltages are incorrectly set. Reset the CMOS to restore defaults to eliminate this potential cause.

Possible but small chance that there is poor contacts between motherboard and heatinks/CPU and heatsink.

The fan(s) work on the CPU cooler right?

I reset the CMOS by sorting the two pins on my mother board, but it didn't help. The CPU is still heating up over 70°C and the motherboard over 90°C (as seen in the picture)
And yes the CPU fan is spinning and working.

But i came a cross this weird pop up (seen in picture) saying "Not recommended CPU Voltage", when i was opening MSI Command Center. I haven't touch any voltage or clock settings.

Interest. We're onto something.

How about manually setting CPU voltage and north bridge core voltage? 1.35 for Score and 1.24 North bridge core should be good.

You shouldn't have to do this, but I'm wondering if the CPU is calling for the wrong voltage.

Edit- just checked the hardware monitor profile. The voltages look very healthy. I believe you have an issue with your cooler. Either it is bent and not makinng contact or it has not been tightened down properly.

You can try changing your voltages and changing your load line calibration. But it looks to me like a cooling issue

I checked the MSI Command center and noticed this weird clock on the CPU Voltage (picture). Should i do something about it or just leave it like that?
I can go to bios and take a screenshot from all the "overclocking" settings if that helps.
Also I can test the stock heatsink, so we can see if it's the cooler that is damaged.

So after not finding any way to fix this my self, I sent RMA to the shop where I bought it. They tested it on their rig and had the same problem. So now I get new motherboard from the warranty.

Hey man sorry we couldn't figure it out. At the point it sounds like VRM's were damaged (The modules to the west and north of your CPU). Hopefully your system is up and running soon.

I tough that the problem was solved by getting the new motherboard. But here I'm again asking for help... :/
So the temps are still high, not that high that the CPU would thermal throttle, but still unusually high. (I'm concerned for the life of the components) The motherboard heatsinks are super hot for the touch and HWmonitor shows that the max temp on it is around 80-85C Is the problem in my CPU? Any ideas?

Haven't updated BIOS on the new motherboard from the warranty yet.

Yeah i think so. I uninstalled all the ASUS motherboard drivers (USB, Network ect.)
