AMD FX-8370E bottlenecking my 1070ti?

Just upgraded my GPU from a GTX 970 to a 1070ti
Processor is a AMD FX-8370E @3.5 GHz
16GB DDR3 RAM

Just confirming, is this a CPU bottleneck?

sorry if the question is a bit dumb, but I need to know for sure as I may upgrade my CPU soon

Yeah, you get diminishing returns quickly on FX CPUs past a GTX 1060.

You need to be running at least 4ghz on an fx chip to get good usage from a gtx970 so yes , absolutely cpu limited now.

You'll find yours getting pretty much the same fps now as you did with the 970.

The only caveat is you can max settings with that 1070ti & get the same performance as the 970 did at medium to high.
