I went from the AMD FX-9370 to the 4770k. mind you i like AMD more then intel and i am so happy it runs well and better then the 9370 in my opinion.

The 4770k is better. I find that with the new higher end FX cards there is a very limited amount of motherboards, and it will require a whole lot of more power (220W vs 84W) and pretty much will require water cooling.

What is your budget? The 4770k is great, but also over $100 more than the 9370. Have you considered an 8350 and overclocking that? Your almost guaranteed to hit 4.7 - 4.8ghz with a decent motherboard.
