AMD FX-9370 + Included watercooling vs i5 4670K only $40 difference

I have a 875w psu, so I dont think that power usage should be a problem..


The 9370 boosts to 4.7Ghz while the 4670 is 3.8Ghz
witch one would you choose?

If you are just gaming, go with the i5, otherwise get the 9370.

4670k still beats it in gaming. Intel is superior in gaming most of the time with 200$+ cpus

spend that money on a cpu cooler and you can get your i5 to around 4.4 GHz which will blow the FX out in everything buy rendering and stuff like that

Problem is that only 3 motherboards support that CPU and none of them are exactly cheap.

320$ alot cheaper than am3+ mobo that supports that cpu= 220$+

cpu is atleast 215$ so ur talkign 435$ versus 320 and very little difference.

bottomline= i5 wins best bang for bucks here

These benchmarks were in Primemark, of course they are going to be higher. If games were able to use all eight cores, there would be no contest, but they can't. The i5-4670k has better threading and much higher performance per core. For games like BF4, the 9370 will indeed perform better - but there are very few games where the cost of the 9370 is even relevant. For the regular price of the 9370, you could get an i7-4770k which is much better.

the 9370 is a water cooled and overclocked 8350 with a warranty for people who dont want to do it themselves. get an 8350 and water cool it yourself and you will have better results for much cheaper. it is an irrelevant part. that said, someone up there was showing a water cooled overclocked 8350(9370) bench numbers compared to a stock 4770k which is obviously not fair.
