AMD fx-9370 Overheating with Noctua nh-14

Hi, I have an AMD fx-9370 being cooled with the Noctua nh-14. The max temp for the CPU is 62 degrees celsius, but my temps are about 62 - 69 degrees underload.

Should I be worried, and if so how do I fix it?

I also have an Sapphire r9 290x tri x oc gpu which may be contributing to the heat..

Those numbers aren't too terrible but still high in my opinion.

I have an FX9590 and R290x. The CPU is cooled with the Cooler Master 212 EVO at the moment and it idles around 39C and sits at about 50C while gaming. If I stress test it, it jumps to well over 75. I am replacing the 212 with an H100i GTX however to make it more stable.

Are you experiencing any issues with everything running or are you just concerned with the heat?

Check your airflow in the case as well. My EVO 212 is set up in a push config directly facing the rear exhaust and that seems to help, double check ambient airflow within the case as VRM get pretty hot.

I recommend water cooling the CPU if you can. These Vishara chips are ridiculous.

Well, so far I haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary, just concerned is all. I'm worried if I keep running at this temp I could damage it.

I feel as though I could get some better case fans, but as far as liquid cooling, I've never done it before so it's a bit out of my comfort zone. These temps are specifically when playing Shadows of Mordor for a long period of time 1920x1080 ultra, 60+ fps (2 hours atleast)

My Case is a bit compact too, which might be causing issues :/ (Cooler Master HAF 912)

Spring for a nice roomy case with some holes in it, maybe a big mesh panel in the side or the top. Get a couple of 140mm fans to move air into and out of the case. This will do wonders for your temps. If your case if full of hot air, the heat basically backs up in your heatsink. Cool air moving through the sink will remove much more heat. Of course now all that heat will be in your room.... Your temps aren't way out of spec, just a little, I think. There are lots of cases that can be had very cheaply, unless your super particular about which one you use.
