AMD FX - 9590 -- AIDA64 Extreme temp VS AMD Overdrive

I have been kinda worried about what AIDA was saying about the CPU temp was while playing GTA V- it usually says about 75C after playing it for about an hour. From what I know this is a really hot temperature for a CPU. However, AMD overdrive is saying the thermal margin is about 15C to 20C. Why is AIDA saying its bad when overdrive says it's okay?

My specs:
CPU: AMD FX 9590 underclocked to 4.5 ghz
GPU: EVGA GTX 750 Ti *
PSU: currently some crappy 600W thermal take psu-- I know I'm stupid for running it like this *
Mobo: AsRock 990FX Extreme6

* I am getting a new EVGA GTX 980 and a new EVGA 750 W psu from here http://m.newegg.com/Product/index?itemnumber=N82E16817438027&nm_mc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-PC&cm_mmc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-PC-_-pla-_-Power+Supplies-_-N82E16817438027&gclid=Cj0KEQiAg7ayBRD8qqSGt-fj6uYBEiQAucjOwZoHUxV-3-fYgeRmDse2swahTjLzifVDIf1BrrPMVnoaAkwz8P8HAQ&gclsrc=aw.ds
soon, it is just being shipped.

The G1 is honestly decent in my opinion. Not high end but fine. However, at $99 USD, there are just better options. If you have already made the purchase, then it will serve you fine. It is listed on Tier 3. G2 is Tier 1.

thermal margin is a count down to overheating. 50c in AMDOverdrive means 50 degrees until it reaches max temp for the CPU. 0c = max temp.

750w is safe 600w is not enough.

AMD Overdrive's Thermal margin is always going to be more accurate under load. What are you using for the CPU cooler?

Keep in my that the EVGA G2 PSUs are much better than the G1 model you have listed.

Reference this guide for PSU:

http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html

Also keep in mind that the Fx 9590 will bottleneck the 980. If you're gaming in 1080 or 1440p, the GTX 970 might be more appropriate for your CPU.

I already have both of them ordered... Quite obviously this was not explained well in the previous threads I've made. I was informed that the one I got is excellent quality. I am sure the PSU will be better then my current one, though.

Also, what tier would the one I listed be considered? In my previous thread they said it was tier one.

Also, I have a Coolermaster Seidon 120V as a cooler. I know, it's somewhat insufficient, but it seems to be working somewhat well.

Also, I'm not sure if you misunderstood, (because it was worded quite stupidly) but the thermal margin was under load (while playing GTA V, actually). It is usually ~50C idle. Also, does that mean that both of them are correct...?

EDIT: I think I mistook the one I have listed as a GS because I googled EVGA GS 750w and that one showed up. Would it even be worth it, however, to replace the g1 with a g2? In other words, what would I be "missing out" on with the g1 instead of the g2? Is it really bad quality?

Also, I'm kind of worried because the newegg PSU wattage calculator says a 850W PSU is recommended... but now I only have a 750 one. Also I put in my current specs (which is in the original post) says I should have a 650W psu... when I have a 600 one. I am kind of worried that 750 will not be enough. What could happen if you do not use the recommended wattage?

UPDATE:

I've gotten it all installed, and it is all working, however I realized that my CPU seems to be running a bit hotter. It almost reaches 5C on the thermal margin when playing Grand Theft Auto 5.

It was working fine before I put in the new PSU and GPU.

Also, the CRYORIG R1 Universal looks quite large... I don't know if it'll fit in my case. I have reasons to believe that my case is the NZXT Source 210 because it looks extremely similar (except the "window" on the side of the case is larger on mine) If I were required to get a new case, would I be better to just get something like the Corsair H110 GTX

Unfortunately it is 8mm short of fitting.

However, you'd be surprised by how well air coolers perform when compared to closed loop water coolers. Furthermore, they cool your mobo's VRMs while the water coolers does not. There is also a price difference too!

I just play games such as GTA 5 and Rainbow Six: Siege. I also just bought Just Cause 3 but with the slightly higher spec requirements I may just wait until I get a new cooler to play (and maybe even download) the game.

Also it makes me wonder because none of these tests are with FX 9590s or even any other AMD processor.

Part of the reason is that due to the needs of the CPU and various issues, it's a tough CPU to ever recommend so it's generally considered less crucial to include it in benchmarks. You do see it sometimes, but not as often as the more common FX CPUs. For me, it's the most disappointing CPU since the very late Pentium 4s.

Yes, I quite regret buying it, I just don't want to spend the money on an Intel processor as I am cheap.

I didn't mean to sound like I was mocking you - just wanted to offer one explanation why you don't see the 9590 in benchmarks all that often.

No, I 100% dislike this CPU. It does not run very fast I find (which could just be because I underclock it?) It creates SO MUCH heat, and it requires good (and usually expensive) power supplies and motherboards when the performance of the CPU cannot seem to give the correct kind of performance. I don't know, maybe my setup or something is wrong but I think I should have went with an Intel, an I cannot be bothered to buy an Intel right after going through all of this. (however I will probably in the end buy an Intel, eventually, unless AMD really gets better somehow.)

Quite the contrary, the 9590 is on many benchmarks. However, I don't recommend the 9590 for the overall cost of building a rig around the 9590. For a budget AMD gaming rig, it is much cheaper to go with the 8320 or 6300 and overclock it.

Here is the GTA V benchmarks, Just Cause 3 And Rainbow 6 are too new to see extensive benchmarks on, it has nothing to do with the Fx's "needs and various issues." Most mainstream benchmarking sites will provide Fx benchmarks on games until they are fully replaced by Zen because Fx is currently AMD's only 'gaming' CPUs.
