After around 10-30 minutes of high-graphics game play (ex. X-COM 2), the computer freezes all sound, video and is entirely unresponsive until a hard restart. I have been "lucky" enough to catch it freezing while looking at the sensor data from the CPU and it is within 14C-40C and is *not* overheating.
The computer runs fine rendering audio, graphics intense video processing, and lesser intensity games but for an unknown reason after a short period of playing different graphics-heavy games it causes this crash. I would be grateful is someone knew a solution to this problem. Thanks.
BUILD:
CPU- AMD FX-9590
CPU Cooler- Corsair H105
Motherboard- Asus M5A99FX
GPU- AMD Radeon R9-390
PSU- SuperNOVA NEX650G Gold 650w
16GB RAM
Windows 8.1
**Update** I installed a Corsair 1000W PSU yesterday. I have also tried opening the case to a large household fan. To my dismay, I found the total freeze still occurs after roughly the same period of game time. Any other possible causes for this problem? Or any other ways of finding a cause?
