AMD FX-9590 Performance question.

I am aware of the major issues with this cpu but, if I had a fairly powerful psu, watercooling, and a fire extinguisher, how good will it be at a mainly rendering but some gaming on the side workload when paired with an nvidia quadro gpu?

Not as good as an Intel i7-8xxx series, or AMD Ryzen 2xxx.

If so, just try it.

The FX-9590 has a passmark rating of 10,195 and a single thread rating of 1726.
For the gaming portion of your question, the single thread rating is very important and 1726 is poor.

A 8 thread I7-4790K is 11182/2530.
8 thread i7-8700K is 15.970/2704
16 thread ryzen 2700X is 16,928/2189.

Just shows how weak the FX-9590 really is.
