AMD FX models

Hello,

i have a http://www.asrock.com/mb/NVIDIA/N68C-GS%20FX/?cat=CPU motherboard and my system currently running a AMD Athlon x2 64bit 3800+ CPU.

I want to buy a AMD FX 4100 but the CPU Models in my country(Greece) are different than the Motherboard's CPU Support list.

For example:

I can buy http://www.e-gate.gr/index.php?dispatch=products.view&product_id=44892 (AMD FX 4100 X4 3.6GHz Black Edition (FD4100WMGUSBX))
but Motherboards CPU Support list has only AMD FX 4100 FD4100WMW4KGU(BE).

Will it be compatible?

Hello MetrioC
They are both same processors just one is the tray version and another is box. They are identical. Only with different model numbers because they are retailed differently.

you should go ahead and buy the processor.

good suggestion but its not showing on the cpu support list...6300 is and so is 8300
