[SOLVED] AMD FX6300 - CPU speed limited

Hi, as I mention the speed of my processor is limited to 1.4GHz and never goes up, the voltage I have changed from 0.9V to 1.4V and it does not change.

Everything on the motherboard is by default and when I switch from OS to Ubuntu it doesn't change.

I tried to change it from the BIOS with an overclock, but nothing changes

Is the CPU temperature normal? Or is it the sensor?

I found something strange in the MSI Command Center application, it detects the clock ratio at 7, but in the BIOS it says 17.5

What motherboard? Some used to have a slow mode switch/jumper.

Yes, it is solved and the temperature is at a normal threshold also when I overclock with the BIOS

Thanks, I have been half a year or more with the slow mode activated, maybe from when I update the graphics card

You must have caught it when tinkering inside the case.

The amount of old threads where people had this problem you would not believe.

I've been the 'hero' that sizzling is many times lol ;-)
