Question AMD Fx6300 overclock

I am thinking about overclocking my fx6300. Is it possible to only do it with 4GB RAM?
MBO: MSI 760GM-P23(FX) (MS-7641)
CPU: AMD FX-6300
GPU: ASUS GTX 1060 6GB Dual-Fan
COOLER: Hyper 212 Evo
RAM: DDR3 4GB

Your amount of RAM has nothing to do with overclocking, so you won't have a problem there. However, your motherboard isn't very good and it might not be capable of overclocking much.

Any stable overclock on that motherboard is going to be a negligible performance gain.

I planned on upgrading. justa pc ive had since 3 years ago. new mbo it is

Getting a new mobo for that rig is a waste of money, AM3+ is a dead platform. You're better off saving up to get new mobo + CPU + RAM.

Yeah lol. Not a necessity though everyone knows you can’t put a fx6300 in a new mbp. Lmao of course I’d get a new cpu

Ah, my bad, when you said "new mobo it is" I thought you meant just a new (AM3+) mobo, keeping the FX 6300.
