Amd fx6300+R9 280(Overclocked) vs Intel core i3 4150+R9 280(Overclocked)

^300 is a bit stronger and can be OCed - the 6 cores would also be nicer to have

I agree with the first answer. The fx 6300 is a great buy. And it is a bit more powerful in gaming but runs hot. That can be fixed by buying a aftermarket cooler. If you do plan on going a bit higher in price for a processor go with intel
