I'm getting conflicting info from people in other threads so I thought I'd ask the question here and try to get a clear answer. My HWMonitor readings are maxing at 57C on the socket and 48C for the cores......I think. This is where I'm confused. Please look at this image and let me know if I'm correct.

I'm told my socket can handle temps up to 70C and my core 62C....which I'm well under right?

Cooler Master 212 Pro.

I can't get 4.4MHz stable without increasing the volts which I don't want to do if I'm already at 57C.

Not to argue with you but the image leads me to believe that the first reading the 57C temp is the socket since it's the MoBo sensor based on the dropdown tree. I also noticed in a video on OCing that if you have a pro version MoBo that instead of a Package reading you'll get readings for each core, and it shows up in that same location as where I see Package. Also, the dropdown tree leads me to believe that's the CPU temp. This makes me think that package is a reading for all 6 cores.

I've been playing it safe and not letting anything get over 60C. But I'd like to push to 4.4MHz if I can 😀 but I think I need 1.4v and about 5 more degrees to do it.

I don't know about the AMD overdrive. I reset my bios to default and ran the AMD Overdrive....it got to 4.6MHz before reboot. So I can go to 4.5. The thing is the voltage goes up with everything default using AMD overdrive to 1.368v which gets 3C hotter than my previous set up.

If someone can really tell me how to read HWMonitor then that might be OK as the Package temp only gets to 50C.
