AMD FX6350 or X6 1100T?

the 1100T at 4.2ghz will be faster then the 6350 at 4.7ghz.

it comes down to overclocking but if i had my choice i'd probably stick with the older 1100T. now if you're going to spend 200 on your cpu, i'd look at an 8 core 8350/8320 as a better option then the 1100T.

The 1100t is used. I'll use for gaming, and rendering and editing videos too. But more for games... And, yes, i plan to overclock it, if i learn how to.

The 1100t cost 190 dolars. The 6350, 139 dolars, and its not used.

In gaming, the x6 will function as an actual 6 core. The Fx 6xxx series will perform the same as a tri-core in games, due to the shared FPU units (One FX module shares an FPU unit between two cores).

However, the x6 is overpriced. It's essentially a x4 with two more cores; I don't think that the price tag justifies that purchase.

The good thing about the FX series is that they're quite a bit easier to OC than the Phenom series.
