AMD fx8300 vs Intel Pentium G4600

I have a ht3.0 ddr3 motherboard and I'm planning on upgrading my graphics card to a GTX 1060. I'm debating between the fx8300 and the G4600, which will be better at gaming? And most importantly which will bottleneck less. I feel the intel might have the upper hand but I don't know if its compatible with my motherboard.

How about neither? Why not go for an i3-8100 only $110?
