Sorry for this overasked question, therefor I'll jump straight to business.

Stock fan was really loud, replaced it with Cooler Master Blizzard T2 mini using Cooler Master E2 IC Essential thermal compound. // Did not overclock the CPU.

Idle temp stays around 30C, but when i start rendering a 3D model, it goes up to 90C in under a minute. // Using Core Temp 1.0 RC6 software

*Checked the 4 screws, they were perfectly attached.
*Forced some computer shop guys to apply the thermal paste for me.
*Previously tried different rotations and used some cheap thermal pastes.
*Previously stupidly tested the CPU-s temp by simply letting it pass the 90C mark. Did this ca 4 times. ( Could this be the reason for overheating ? )
*cleaned the PC from dust.

// How the 'computer shop guys' applied the paste:
1. Cleaned with alcoholic screen cleaner.
2. Applied paste onto the CPU with some kind of a fiber cable thingy( I guess ). Smeared it all over the CPU so it was covered but not too much ( I guess ).

//How I tried to apply it.
A) cleaned, added paste onto the cooler( since it has visible texture and small gaps between the plate and the pipes), added a bit bigger than a rice grain size drop on the CPU.

B) cleaned, added smaller than a pea drop of paste, applied force for around 10 seconds, then attached the CPU.

My only guess is that the cooler is too weak, is it not?
What shall I do?

Solution

FX 8xxx line are 125w. The FX 9xxx line is the 200w models. A coolermaster Hyper 212 would be a good choice, unless the case cannot support its height. A Hyper TX3 is a decent compromise, and far better than the stock fan.

Yes, it is too weak. You could have damaged the CPU with a 90C run for extended time. FX CPUs are considered running too hot at 70C.

I was incorporating OC headroom, and I would rather have an overkill CPU cooler than one that still lets me hit +60C.
