AMD FX8350 + ASRock 990FX Killer Fatal1ty issue

Been trying to overclock lately, still kinda new but when I try to even OC a small bit, like taking it from 4.0 to 4.1, it causes my FPS is cs go to drop drastically, from 250-300 to 100-150, why?

Did you run stress tests ensure stability? (Are you running at full frequencies?)

What are you using for cooling?

Using the corsair h100i, and with stress tests I am not seeing anything alarming, unless there is something more than temp, like I said new at this, and what you mean by full frequencies?

This is a good starting point.

While stress testing for stability, you should be watching your temperatures, and your clock-rates, to see if there might be throttling. I have known a couple people that have been like, "Wow! I am getting 5.0ghz with only 40C on the core!" but they were getting really bad performance. Turns out, the VRM on the motherboard was overheating, and it was throttling to prevent damage.
