AMD FX8350. CPU clock drops in 3d Mark physics test

My physics tests are usually low.. But something I noticed from the graphs after running the test was that my CPU clock drops from around 4200 Mhz to about 1400 MHz. Is this normal?

no i have an cooler master hyper evo 212..

And mobo is gigabyte 970a ds3p

Enter BIOS and Turn OFF Turbo Core or Turbo Technology.
That should do the trick.
If you core speed drops on loading screen that is fine cuz it is part of power saving.
If you want to keep it from going to 1.4 ghz just set high performance mode in windows Power Options.

No it drops when the physics test starts and then stays there through the test. Let me try disabling turbe and do a run. will update.

Turning the turbo off worked.. the cpu clock stays steady at 4.0 Ghz..
