AMD FX8350 showing only 6 cores

Hello people a few days ago i decided to do an upgrade in cpu terms i had a amd 1090Tx6 black edition and i decided to get an amd 8350x8 black edition .I just installed the new cpu and its still reading my old cpu cores . is there anything i can do? i alredy cleared my cmos and reseted to defaults .
Specs
Old cou amd 1090t x6 black edition
New CPU amd fx 8350 black edition
ram 12gb ram
psu 750 wat psu
gtx 970
mobo asrock 970 pro 3 (in the box of my mobo its says its compatible whitf x processors up to 9 cores i guess if not mistaken.

I'm surprised it worked at all, that motherboard doesn't officially support FX CPUs

You need a newer motherboard with AM3+ support I think.
Personally I wouldn't be upgrading at all, there is not much to be gained on this older hardware.

sorry my bad, there are some on that list, it uses model numbers instead of CPU names and I missed it.
Still the highest FX listed is an 8320E and the 8350 is not on the list

ill leave it a clock speeds whit turbo enabled :)
