hi gays i want to ask ... i have amd fx9370 with cooler corsair H55 and when i play games my fps gets down... im almost certain that this cooler is to week for this CPU but i need an oppinion.

Solution
check you cpu temps while you game what are they? i run a h105(a bunch bigger and better then the h55) on my fx8350 and i can still get it working hard at 150 watts using my overclock profile and that's a 220watt cpu so yes i would still upgrade your cooler anyways but cant say that's your issue unless you look at your cpu actual temp.

That cooler is far too weak for the AMD 9 series. If you're going to keep your 9370, I suggest a high end water cooler like the H110i, or a custom loop. Otherwise your best bet is to replace the motherboard and CPU with a solid Intel one, such as the i5-4460.

my buddies son got a V* on that chip and says it just will do the job maybe best to water cool that was his thoughts ??

http://www.coolermaster.com/cooling/cpu-air-cooler/v8/

monster cooler like that you would thing it should do the job

be sure you did a proper paste /mounting job of the cooler you got fine line in got it right or wrong and can make a difference in temps a slight goof can be 5-10c +

also check things as this [chip and cooler face ]

That motherboard has a warning on the MSI site in nice big red letters, that it does not support 200W CPUs.

You are certainly getting VRM and power delivery throttling of your motherboard which will result in huge performance loss for your CPU. Your only real solution is to get an appropriate motherboard. If you persist with running this CPU on that motherboard, you will rapidly burn out your power delivery, and then will need a new motherboard anyway.

Your CPU cooler is also too weak, but fixing that will still leave the far more serious motherboard problem.

The MSI 970 Gaming is a great motherboard for FX 8350 or 8370. It cannot handle a FX9xxx anything.

are you sure that? The motherboard is the real problem?

Ok i need new motherboard Recommend me... but one that I can use GPU

I am not saying that the motherboard is the ONLY problem, but it certainly IS a major problem. You likely need better CPU cooling too.

Read this and find something local and in budget.

do you thing i need better PSU?

Okay a bit off topic, dude you're a master in like 10 categories, why is your status at night owl :3

a. Because Night Owl is as good a description of what I am as anything. (Which 'mastery' should I boast about? :) )

b. Because I want my responses evaluated for their content and not their authorship.

c. 'Knew-it-all' is not an option :)

Is asrock 990fx extream6 is good for amd fx9370?

No friend. That board won't be good.

The 9xxx series requires very strong and smooth power delivery. The only motherboard brands I would recommend using that CPU with is Gigabyte or ASUS. More so Gigabyte as ASUS has a high failure rate due to low quality MOSFETS, even on their Croshair-V boards.

Stay away from MSI motherboards at all costs.

Completely wrong.

My FX 8320 and R9 380 are drawing 600 watts of power already in CS:GO.

People love to cheap out on their power supplies in builds, don't buy into this. Spend the money on a quality 750+ watt unit and don't worry about it again for the next 7 years.

Ah I see, it's a good description of me too 😀

Getting a bit more back on topic... why did you select a response as the solution if your problem isn't solved yet?

what about this MB GIGABYTE 990FXA-UD5/AMD990FX/s.AM3+
