AMD FX9590 for $280 or Intel i7 4770K $340 there is a sale going on for the FX9590 right now, which should I buy.

Solution
If you're willing to pay the extra $60, get the intel. It is a stronger cpu and will do its stuff at about 1/3 of the power consumption of the AMD. If you really want AMD get an 8350 and overclock it, I believe the 9590 is just a factory overclocked 8350

Solution
dont buy fx9590 ,FX 9590 is power hungry cpu and FX line is almost gone also have temperature issues, Buy 8350 as suggested above if you want to gaming and other multi threaded applications or spend good $60 more and buy intel i7 which is fast and efficient than fx 9590, and do more search before upgrading in this forum already many questions are answered here hope you will get a good build BOL....; )

He didn't stated anything about power compumtion! You are right FX9590 consumes about double any high end processor but people who don't like overclocking or are scared of it are likely to buy it !

Yeah it's the uniformed buyer's dream come true. It's already factory overclocked to the max and it has MOAR COREZ! Unfortunately, it still doesn't match a completely stock 4770k. And when you factor in the motherboard, it costs about the same amount as a 4770k system. AMD is laughing all the way to the bank whenever one of those suckers sells.

WTF are you talking about Arnov01? You say A-M-D rules and intel cant stay up to par, then turn around and act like I'm the idiot when I call you on the bs. I never mentioned the power consumption...so what? Intel still uses less power even overclocked. Don't try and say A-M-D rulez and is better and intel can't keep up then turn it around and act like you didn't just say that.

"A-M-D ! Intel is good in gaming but where it comes to Editing and gaming combined it's not up to the mark." - Arnov01

case and point, we are talking about a 4770k here and it's somehow not up to the mark? I don't follow your logic.
