AMD GPU detecting incorrect native resolution on 4k TV.

For some reason, my RX 460 detects my TV of having a 2160 X 4096 native resolution instead of a 2160 X 3840 native resolution. So If change the setting to output the correct resolution, I end up with the incorrect aspect ratio. I don't have this problem if I use the onboard graphics. Updating the drivers didn't fix it. Does anyone know why GPU is detecting the incorrect resolution as the TV's native resolution?
Update:
I checked the display specs in AMD's "additional options" and it is indeed detecting the wrong information.

It could be a bug in the Driver identifying the display properly, so head onto the AMD forums to get an answer.

Also, I'm guessing you're using the HDMI 2.0 port? Have you tried using DP if it's available on your TV?

Yes I was using the HDMI port. My TV doesn't have a DP input. I will try the AMD forums. Thanks for suggesting.

No problem. Out of curiosity, what brand is your TV?

Without being too specific, I know Sony TVs have some issues (old models) because their HDMI verification wasn't fully standard at the time. So you had to tinker a little for the GPU to recognize it. I had the problem with both nVidia and AMD, so it wasn't a problem with the cards.

It's a 2015 Vizio M-Series C2. It doesn't make sense for either the card or TV to not be compliant with the EDID standard.
But I found a work around to get it outputting the correct resolution. By adjsuting the refresh rate, I seem to have triggered something. Before when I adjusted resolution in the settings, the TV would still detect a 4096 X 2160 output regardless--meaning that aspect ratio would be distorted. At the moment the card is outputting the native resolution of 3840 X 2160. The detected EDID info is still incorrect though. If I continue to have issues, I will probably just return it and get a last gen Nvidia card. The only reason I went with AMD is because I was building a HTPC, and AMD is supposed to bringing HDR capabilities.

To me it sounds it is lacking something in the HDMI 2.0 department. Not being "full speed" means you won't be able to do 4K@60Hz in all RGB spectrum.
