Question AMD GPU for productivity

I wonder if AMD GPU's are really bad for productivity.
Currently i am working with DAZ3D and obviously with a card from AMD you don't get anywhere.
Wondering why AMD isn't really supported ever since i started with that software.
But are AMD cards really bad as most people say or is it just with this particular software?
From a small research it seems Maja is accepting cards from AMD. Meaning they are supported (mostly).

Or are NVidia cards just better?

It's just mainly a query for me as i wondering if this is just a thing people say or if its actually factual.

Thank you, i am not that verse in GPU knowledge and kind of blind when it comes to hardware. (nowadays).

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

The question comes down to the app developers and if they want to support GPU's on the market. Some apps will favor one GPU maker over the other, same happens with games, not just the world of productivity. Adobe is one brand that supports Nvidia and AMD GPU's.

If I were you, I'd ask eidaraman1 over at TPU. He's an absolute wizard when it comes to Polaris cards.
