ive got an AMD Ryzen 7 laptop which I bought 5 months back.
It was fine for the first 2 months and then the laptop fps started dropping to 20 while playing games.
I didnt know what the root cause was until I traced it to the vram(gpu) being stuck at 400mhz between a game.
I tried many methods, none of them seem to work.
I dont know how but it stops for few days, but when i download a new game or smthing, the problem comes back.
I have 16 gb RAM and 512 ROM(out of which 200 gb is free).

Solution
"512 ROM" that's not a valid thing on laptops.
Two things spring to mind, gpu driver corruption, hardware fault, or overheating gpu.
try and remove the gpu driver, and install either an older or a newer version. Preferable choose clean install at the driver installation, read the text carefully.
