AMD hardware not being detected

I sold my 1060 from this build (https://pcpartpicker.com/user/SirEugene/saved/qvKTWZ) to buy a 1070.

While waiting on my 1070, I wanted to use my old R7 240 because I'm getting a couple bugs from using Intel Integrated Graphics, plus the performance is better.

I popped it in and plugged my video cords into the GPU and started up my system... Black screen.

Switch back to mobo... Intel graphics works fine.

Someone suggested I uninstall Nvidia graphics drivers from the control panel and install AMD drivers, so I did, but when I was installing AMD drivers, it said it couldn't install because my system doesn't have any AMD hardware in it despite the fan in the card spinning.

My friend suggested I disable Intel integrated graphics drivers, so I did that... Nothing changed except I have a max resolution of 768p.

Please help. I just want to be able to play CSGO. Thanks!

UPDATE: tried to install using another AMD driver installer and now it gives me error 175. Unsupported AMD hardware.
