News AMD has started rolling out class action settlement checks

the class action lawsuit; Tony Dickey, et al. v. Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. has resulted in checks finally coming in the mail.

just received my huge $30.46 check today. i don't remember what i paid for the FX-8350 in question, but it's always nice to get a little extra spending money.
i really had doubted the settlement would result in anything after lawyer & court fees, etc.

Im honestly surprised you got a check that large, if at all.
A 30 dollar check for an "issue" that did not impact most if not all users is great.

also surprised.
i actually had good results with my FX setup and never had a noticeable issue with lack of cores/threads.
it all pretty much came down to a false advertising claim against AMD. not really a hardware "problem" that most, if any, would've realized.
