Hi,
I was setting up a system for my neice, it was given to me by a friend who
got a new computer, so I reformatted it, loaded win98se, etc. All was
proceeding fine, until it just stopped. I had just finished installing a
pci usb card, and when I rebooted the system, it just quit. I removed all
the cards, memory, drives, etc., but still no post. When power is applied,
the lights on the keyboard flash, the fans all spin up, and when I had it in
the system so did the hard drive for a little, and that's it. ???

I reseated the cpu, but have no spare to swap out, but I think cpu's are
fairly tough, so I'm guessing the mobo went south.
Any ideas appreciated.
thanks
avery

It isn't going to post without memory.

Could be that or the PSU.
