AMD laptop very low performance

Hallo! I've got an HP Pavilion laptop with the A10 5745m processor and an additional graphics card (AMD Radeon R7 M260). The ram memory is 8gb. My problem is that I've noticed the pc is very weak in games. I have downloaded the latest drivers for everything and the ATi Catalyst too...for example, I have the GTA IV installed, that's an old game with very low requirements (512mb ram, athlon x2 processor, 2gb ram), and almost can't play! A lot of lags, very slow starting etc. I supposed the problem is the laptop, cause it can't reach a desktop's performance. But yesterday, we installed the game to a friend's laptop (Toshiba with intel i3, Nvidia 720 1gb, 4gb ram) with a lot lower hardware and played the game very smoothly even with mods! The game started at the 1/4 of my laptop's time! So...why does this happens??

Did you put the energetic options in "High perfomance"? because hp set as default the option "equilibrated" so the R7 M260 would never turn on. Change the options
